5052 Aluminum

Excellent Strength-to-Weight Ratio

5052 aluminum alloy is stronger than other popular aluminum alloys and has improved corrosion resistance due to the absence of copper in its composition. This means it does not readily corrode in a saltwater environment that can attack and weaken copper metal composites, making it ideal for many marine and chemical applications, where other aluminum would weaken with time. 5052 aluminum cannot be heat treated and must be cold worked to be made stronger using the work-hardening process.

TCI Strip Blanks are saw cut to +.060-0" with stock thickness.
